My final project will be my second project, Sufer Dude, elaborated.

Blog #13- Project #2 Abstract

Surfer dude is a piece that entertains the "reader" as it shows the process of a students hardship with procrastination and getting some work done.

Surfer dude erupted during the author's own procrastination. A person can be fully aware of a deadline and even the pressure that comes with "cramming". However, with all that's available on your pc, how can you not deter from your path?

Blog #12

Project #2= a lot more complex than I thought and I'm only using Powerpoint. I pretty much know what I'm doing and know what I'm trying to accomplish, I just also know that someone else would probaly get this done in half the time it's taking me. Most of my difficulty has been with the animations and the time it's been taking has made me restless.

Blog #11- a REAL post

My piece for project two is generally going to allow the "reader" to sit back and relax. It's a literary work that simply requires the viewer to just watch and interpret. As previously mentioned, my piece surrounds the idea or act of procrastination and shows how it unfolds for the "undoer".

I've set it up using Microsoft Powerpoint where the slides go one right into the other, displaying the uncertainty and stress process of a students struggle with writers block. The main screen (or slide) that will be revisited will be the one that the student needs to keep his/her focus on but manages to be easily distracted by the rest of the world made available by their pc.

Project #2 cont'd

My story will surround procrastination and the process when things such as assignments, projects, etc have deadlines and the things that get in the way that are the cause for distraction.
I'm still undecided but I just may write it from my experience and how it happens to me (sadly on a regular basis). I was also thinking to use audio and visuals of the things that distract me such as phone calls, people and movies that I love to watch over and over again.

Brainstorm project #2

Writing a story using power point that will consist of one line per slide with different entries, exits and emphasis to the way the words will be introduced.
As of now, I'm thinking to have certain words to the story be missing that will be replaced with either audio or visual to bring the sentences together.

Regime Change vs. Faith

Regime Change and Faith were similar to other readings we have read in the way that you had to click on something to move forward or be given more information. Different in the way of the format and delivery.

Regime Change (to me) seemed like the author's purpose of linking everything together was so to have the reader think, even if for a moment, that the government plans or expects certain events to occur. Basically, that everything that happens is premeditated and is all somehow interrelated and is noticeable if we "the people" would just pay closer attention. Faith was a more direct reading but given in intervals so that each piece would be retrieved, retained, and considered so that we would "get it". I believe the author wanted to impart a message directly and that message be received without leaving the reader having questions or feeling puzzled.

Blog #7-Hypertext intro statement

My hypertext is basically a narrative from the mind of a dog (my dog partiularly), and her day spent at home. It is written from my dog's point of view as if she were being asked how her day at home is spent, mixed with her own emotions-similar to journal entries. The title is what it is to make us humans think outside the box and believe that their pet may have an insight on life and agenda that is similar to the thought processes of actual people. There is no real understanding that needs to take place in regards to the names I gave the links to the content. They're just wacky names I came up with that stuck.

There isn't anything super complex about navigating through my hypertext. There are six "places" you can tour through. The game/challenge of it all is that there is a way to experience navigating through all the links once, maybe twice, but trying not to go to her least favorite part of the house more than once.

Blog #6- Mapping

For now my idea is to have a picture of a cartoon house centered on my page with links to possibly the doors and windows that are visible. Each link will be a part of the house that my dog "hangs out" and sleeps in. The hypertext is basically a description of the time spent in these different parts of the house from my dogs perspective.

Blog #5-GoogleSites Xperience

Google Sites is definitely an awesome tool for amateurs (such as myself). There are a lot of options to make an individuals work look like some type of fancy software was used to design it. Well, that's the way I view it & I guess I'm not as computer savvy as I thought I was. As this course progresses and after somewhat navigating Google Sites, I do feel "challenged" as far as creativity goes.

Blog #4: Hypertext brainstorming

I'm a litte discouraged because I'm not finding myself to be creative enough for this project but I am sticking with the storyline revolving around my dog. She's a black laborador named Bella and has the best life, ever. She actually reminds me of the story, Goldie Locks and the Three Bears; She tends to make way throughout various rooms of my house, napping. Once her morning pee is done and the people who leave the house in the morning are gone, she makes way to her first destination to sleep (as if she didn't just sleep about 7-8 hours overnight). Anyway, over the course of the day she decides she's not comfortable remaining in one bed or fluffy thing to rest on so she moves and basically does that for the duration of her day. I figure I'd write about that but somehow try to keep the reader in the dark about the fact that I'm writing about an actual dog and it's daily routine of sleep. I will probably label the links with the parts of the house or the thing (material) she lays on and kind of just map it to where I've mentioned every place I've ever seen her sleep.

Blog #3: Ideas for Hypertext project

I quickly viewed Girls' Day Out & 10:01, two works that are quite different from one another (delivery-wise). I actually relaly liked the layout of 10:01 but became overwhelmed when I noticed how many options there were to view the text. There were just too many places to click and I just got a headache. So...Girls' Day Out it is.

Blog #2: FAQ's call for more FAQ's

Ok...it took me about 2 hours to read "FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT "HYPERTEXT" so I kind of have to gather my thoughts. It's definitely something I wouldn't have chosen to read on my own but I can say it was "attention getting" for a while due to it's weirdness. I don't know, I have to get back...

What I wrote down while reading this:

#3-Is he (Richard Holeton) displaying his interpretation of the poem by inducing his own story? Is Another Day at the Office something he wrote prior to "Frequently Asked Questions...."? So far, weird.
#4-He continues to unravel his interpretations or discovery of anagrams linked to people (actors) such as Ewan McGregor. (Is the author gay? Is he a fan of McGregor's?????) still weird.
#6-Ellen Richards once a man???(answered my own question later on)
