Blog #13- Project #2 Abstract

Surfer dude is a piece that entertains the "reader" as it shows the process of a students hardship with procrastination and getting some work done.

Surfer dude erupted during the author's own procrastination. A person can be fully aware of a deadline and even the pressure that comes with "cramming". However, with all that's available on your pc, how can you not deter from your path?

Blog #12

Project #2= a lot more complex than I thought and I'm only using Powerpoint. I pretty much know what I'm doing and know what I'm trying to accomplish, I just also know that someone else would probaly get this done in half the time it's taking me. Most of my difficulty has been with the animations and the time it's been taking has made me restless.

Blog #11- a REAL post

My piece for project two is generally going to allow the "reader" to sit back and relax. It's a literary work that simply requires the viewer to just watch and interpret. As previously mentioned, my piece surrounds the idea or act of procrastination and shows how it unfolds for the "undoer".

I've set it up using Microsoft Powerpoint where the slides go one right into the other, displaying the uncertainty and stress process of a students struggle with writers block. The main screen (or slide) that will be revisited will be the one that the student needs to keep his/her focus on but manages to be easily distracted by the rest of the world made available by their pc.

Project #2 cont'd

My story will surround procrastination and the process when things such as assignments, projects, etc have deadlines and the things that get in the way that are the cause for distraction.
I'm still undecided but I just may write it from my experience and how it happens to me (sadly on a regular basis). I was also thinking to use audio and visuals of the things that distract me such as phone calls, people and movies that I love to watch over and over again.

Brainstorm project #2

Writing a story using power point that will consist of one line per slide with different entries, exits and emphasis to the way the words will be introduced.
As of now, I'm thinking to have certain words to the story be missing that will be replaced with either audio or visual to bring the sentences together.

Regime Change vs. Faith

Regime Change and Faith were similar to other readings we have read in the way that you had to click on something to move forward or be given more information. Different in the way of the format and delivery.

Regime Change (to me) seemed like the author's purpose of linking everything together was so to have the reader think, even if for a moment, that the government plans or expects certain events to occur. Basically, that everything that happens is premeditated and is all somehow interrelated and is noticeable if we "the people" would just pay closer attention. Faith was a more direct reading but given in intervals so that each piece would be retrieved, retained, and considered so that we would "get it". I believe the author wanted to impart a message directly and that message be received without leaving the reader having questions or feeling puzzled.

Blog #7-Hypertext intro statement

My hypertext is basically a narrative from the mind of a dog (my dog partiularly), and her day spent at home. It is written from my dog's point of view as if she were being asked how her day at home is spent, mixed with her own emotions-similar to journal entries. The title is what it is to make us humans think outside the box and believe that their pet may have an insight on life and agenda that is similar to the thought processes of actual people. There is no real understanding that needs to take place in regards to the names I gave the links to the content. They're just wacky names I came up with that stuck.

There isn't anything super complex about navigating through my hypertext. There are six "places" you can tour through. The game/challenge of it all is that there is a way to experience navigating through all the links once, maybe twice, but trying not to go to her least favorite part of the house more than once.
